Benthic Ecosystem Functioning across Arctic Shelves, Slopes and Basins – A Pan-Arctic Approach

Research Interest

I am interested in benthic community ecology, with a focus on deep-sea and Arctic ecosystems. My current research project deals with the functioning of benthic ecosystems in environmentally different regions of the Arctic Ocean. By applying a functional trait approach (BTA) I aim to gain insight into the ecological functioning of Arctic benthos and its environmental drivers and thus be able to identify the functions and regions that are most susceptible to the changes we observe in the Arctic today.
